Privacy notice

Last updated: 31 October 2026

This notice explains what happens to the details you give us through this website. We keep it short because we collect very little.

Who we are

Trade CraftWorks builds websites and digital tools for small businesses. We're responsible for the personal information described here. You can contact us at hello@tradecraftworks.co.uk.

What we collect

If you send us an enquiry, we keep what you type into the form: your name, business name, email address, phone number (if you give it), what you'd like help with and your message. We also keep the date and time it was sent, and a scrambled code made from your internet address, which we use only to stop spam. We can't turn it back into your address.

Our web server also keeps standard technical logs (internet address, the page requested, browser type and time) to keep the site secure and working.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and talk to you about the work you've asked about. That's a step you've asked us to take before any agreement, or it's in our legitimate interest to answer people who contact us.
  • To protect the site from spam and abuse (legitimate interests).

We don't sell your details, we don't add you to a mailing list and we don't use them for advertising.

Where it's kept and for how long

Enquiries are stored on our own server in London, which is hosted by Akamai (Linode). If your enquiry doesn't lead to any work, we delete it within 12 months. If we go on to work together, we keep what we need for the job and for our business records. Server logs are kept for a short time and then deleted.

Cookies

This website doesn't use cookies for visitors, and there's no tracking, advertising or analytics. Our fonts are stored on our own server, so loading this site doesn't send your details to anyone else. Our own staff get a sign-in cookie when they log in to read enquiries.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete them. Just email hello@tradecraftworks.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
